The Cause
In July 2024, hurricane Beryl ravaged Jamaica, causing unprecedented devastation. Entire neighbourhoods were obliterated, homes reduced to rubble, agricultural resources decimated and countless families left homeless. It is estimated that the hurricane caused $32 billion (JMD) (approximately $204 million USD) in damage across the island. One year later, many families remain displaced, living in temporary accommodations and struggling to rebuild their lives without adequate means. Farm fires in February 2025 have dealt another crippling blow to the people of the country and their recovery efforts.

We are responding to this ongoing crisis, by organising the “Rhythm of Hope” concert, aimed at raising much-needed financial aid to support displaced families, assist in rebuilding efforts, and foster long-term resilience for Jamaica’s recovery.
This fund-raising concert is a volunteer-led and collaborative effort with the Global Jamaican Diaspora Council UK Senior and Youth teams, Food for the Poor (FFPJA), The Safety Box, The BLAC Awards and friends of the diaspora.
All proceeds raised will be used in the recovery and future resilience for these types of natural disasters.
